Robert Zemeckis' A Christmas Carol Trailer Released

jimcarreychristmascarol

Disney put out the trailer for A Christmas Carol just last night but the thing is, this trailer has been playing in theaters for a while now. But we’re grateful it has shown up on the Web nonetheless. I tried to look for one on YouTube but they were all “embed disabled”. So just click here to be redirected to YouTube where you’ll be able to watch it.

A Christmas Carol is both written and directed by filmmaker extraordinaire Robert Zemeckis, of everything from Back to the Future to Who Framed Roger Rabbit to Forrest Gump to Contact to his past CGI movies The Polar Express and Beowulf previously. It's based on Charles Dickens' classic story. Jim Carrey stars as at least four different characters in the film, alongside of Gary Oldman, Robin Wright Penn, Colin Firth, Cary Elwes, and Bob Hoskins. Disney will debut A Christmas Carol in theaters on November 6th in America and November 19 here in Malaysia.

Die deutsche Poster für einen Christmas Carol ist genial

No I don’t know German. The Internet does wonders you know? What I do know is that the German poster for Robert Zemeckis’ A Christmas Carol is very, very cool. It features a beautifully designed outline of Jim Carrey’s motion-captured face created by the flames of a candle which has a face and arms. Weird. Anyhoo, check it out for yourself below.

Here’s a first look at Jim Carrey as Ebeneezer Scrooge in Disney’s upcoming performance-captured A Christmas Carol. The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis, who also did The Polar Express, starring Tom Hanks, which was also filmed using performance-capture technology. The video below is a short 20-second clip shown at Cannes recently.

A Christmas Carol will be released in the US November 6.
