Heroes 3.06: "Dying of the Light"

What happens in chapter 6 "Dying of the Light"? Keep on reading to check all the important things you caught or might've missed.

Super Villain of the Season! Arthur Petrelli. Whoda thunk it? So apparently he is telepathic and can absorb powers just like his two sons. Not the nice, polite way Peter does it but something more like the way Sylar does it; cruel, vicious and fatal. Arthur sucks Adam Monroe's regenerative powers out along with his life allowing Arthur to stand up and walk again after being bed-ridden. The cause of which will be explained in chapter 8. So being back to great health and fitness, Arthur goes on to suck Peter dry of his abilities. Well, after acquiring Sylar's power, Peter was going a little south so maybe it was for the best.

Villain of the Chapter. The Puppeteer's abilities are so cool. Don't you wish you had power like his? Don't deny it!

Ando Lives To Sidekick Another Day. Told you Ando would be lucky. Hiro's plan to convince Knox but save Ando's life at the same time was ingenius. Yata!

Brothers' Fight. Don't you just love to watch two people who were, in previous volumes considered the most powerful hero and the most powerful villain just fight it out? Its so entertaining to watch Peter and Sylar throw each other across the room and shoot bolts of lighting at one another. Fight scenes between these two should happen every chapter.

Quote of the Chapter. "High five, turtle."- Matt Parkman to his spirit guide on seeing Daphne at the airport.

What's To Come. Have you missed Elle (Kristen Bell)? Well she'll be back next chapter so look out for her and her electricity. Initial plans to kick Daphne (Brea Grant) off Heroes have been put away as you'll see much more of her in the next few weeks.

Heroes 3.05: "Angels and Monsters"

So, I haven't done this for a while now. Its been a whole week since the last chapter, "Angels and Monsters". Lets talk about what happened last week.

Linderman is not a ghost. Yup, he's not back from the dead or anything. He's just imaginary. Matt's dad who we all know is a villain has been manipulating Nathan and Daphne's mind and making them see and hear Linderman. But why is Maury (Matt's dad) doing this? Because he works for a very much alive Arthur Petrelli. And it seems like Mr. Petrelli Sr. is incredibly powerful, from how afraid Maury is in front of him.

Mohinder going all Spidey on Maya. I'm glad Maya is out of the picture for the time being. I've always thought she adds absolutely nothing to the story and all she does is whine and have her eyeballs turn black. The bad news however, is that Mohinder is going bad really quick.

Did Hiro just kill bestie Ando?? Say whah?? Why did we see Hiro stab Ando clean through with a katana?? Well luckily for Ando, Hiro didn't really kill Ando. In the next episode which is airing as I write this there will be an explanation.

Thats it for tonite. Thanks for reading.

Heroes 3.04: "I Am Become Death"

So Thursday last come chapter has bad England. "I Am Become Death" But I no understand. That chapter all heroes and bad people has good England. I Am Become Confuse.

Okay. I'll stop myself here before I chase away any of the few readers I have. I apologize. I'm lame. Sorry.

So did you watch it on Thursday? I thought it was the most epic chapter so far. Why?

The future is messed up (but cool I say). So this is what the future is like. Everybody flies. Yeah. Anybody can acquire abilities.  Sylar becomes such a goodie innocent man with a son who sadly gets killed. This sparks a a nuclear meltdown by Sylar that blows up Costa Verde. Not before Peter gets Sylar's ability though (in the lamest of fashions). Claire with her new partner, the Haitian succeeds in killing Peter. But luckily its just future Peter. The weird thing was that Matt and Daphne were married and had a baby and were raising Molly. But Daphne dies in Matt's arms after she wasn't fast enough to fully escape the nuclear explosion.

Tracy Strauss. We find out that she is one of three identical triplets along with the dead Niki and Barbara who has yet to appear on the show. The triplets were experiment subjects by Dr. Zimmerman when they were babies. Apparently their abilities were given to them and were not natural.

President Nathan Petrelli. Yeap. Future Nathan is President and is married to Tracy. And due to the hunger caused by Sylar's ability, Peter does the Sylar trademark pointy-finger-slicey-open-head thingy on Nathan and kills him.

Adam Monroe dug up. Takezo Kensei is baaack! But I can tell you this. Not for long. Why? Because the most powerful character in the series so far in my opinion, will be making a return next week.

Next week, in "Angels and Monsters" find out then who is this character that makes everybody else shiver with fright when in his presence. Even when he is bed-ridden. Whoa!

Heroes 3.03: "One Of Us, One Of Them" Recap

First off, kinda made a mistake last week when I didn't talk about 3.02: "The Butterfly Effect" when I should've. Oh well. Lets just move on to 3.03, interestingly named "One Of Us, One Of Them". In this chapter, the title depicts the Modus Operandi of The Company. One normal human agent and one agent with abilities work in pairs to take down the villains.

So lets jump straight into things  shall we? What happened on Thursday night? Not that much actually.

Sylar and HRG make a great team: Don't you think so?? They looked so cool when they walked towards the bank with Sylar in a suit. And when Sylar came into the bank to help HRG, I felt so empowered when he kicked the robbers' butts. Haha. Too bad there's little more of this in coming chapters.

Pikachu and Nemesis are cute: I swear everytime those two talk its so hilarious and cute.

Micah is back: But only for that one scene at the funeral house. Booo. I want more Micah.

Future Peter comes to his senses: And releases present Peter from the body of the escapee and bank robber, Jesse.

Thats it for this week folks.

Next week, 3.04 "I Am Become Death".

I has teribel Ingrish.

Heroes 3.01: "The Second Coming" Recap

Did you catch the season premiere of Heroes on Star World last night? If not, then stop reading right here. Watch it first. Then read this.

So, FINALLY right? Its been so long since Volume 2. Stupid writers strike.

Did you like the chapter? Did it live up to your expectations? It did for me. So what did we find put last night?

Interestingly, we found out that Sylar is the brother of Barack Obama. Okay, no. He's a friggin' PETRELLI!!! Holy crap balls. I didn't see that one coming. Did you?

Imagine. Gabriel 'Sylar' Petrelli. Freaky.

So what else happened?

Sylar Doesn't Eat Brains. I knew it! Its always too stupid to make the villain for the past two volumes just eat human brains. The best part of this chapter was when Sylar was looking at Claire's brains.

Claire: Are you gonna eat it?
Sylar: Eat your brain? Claire, thats disgusting.

Haha.
Another thing that i found out this season is what Sylar's true powers are. But that comes later.

Future Ando Kills Future Hiro. Very surprising. But I'm sure there's a totally, perfectly reasonable explanation for this. Its Heroes for crying out loud! Shit like this'll happen. My theory is that Ando spends too much time with Elle. Haha. We'll see what happens.

New Character. We meet Hiro's 'nemesis', Daphne in this chapter. If you like her, you're in for a treat. She'll be featuring regularly this Volume. The problem i have is that how can she talk and see and interact with Hiro, who supposedly 'bends the time/space continuum', (basically stop time la). I know she's really super fast and all, but if time is stopped, she shouldn't be able to move at all! Oh well. Heroes ain't based on a true story.

Claire is Special. According to the new Petrelli, she "can never die". And now that he's got her power, neither can he. And since Peter's absorbed her power, he can't die either. So the Petrelli trifecta looks pretty healthy.

Just a little precaution, as the chapters come thick and fast the next couple of weeks, the line between good and evil will become thinner and thinner. You can never be sure this volume. The 'hero' you liked might turn out to be a 'villain' and the 'villain' you hate might just defect to the good side.

Next week.
3.02: "The Butterfly Effect".

Heroes Season 3 on Star World

I've been meaning to post about Heores ever since i started blogging but i decided to wait til it premiered here in Malaysia. I was willing to wait because this time around, Star World is bringing Heroes to Asia pretty fast. When it premieres at 10pm, November 6 (Thursday) on Astro channel 711, 7 episodes and less than two months would have passed since the premiere in the U.S. Not bad right? Star World must have dished out tons of cash to bring the series to Asia releatively early if when compared to how long it took for the last two seasons to reach our shores.

Although i have been keeping up to date with the show since its premiere in the US, i will not provide any spoilers for those wanting to follow it on Star World. But hopefully, I will be able to write up a recap after each episode on Thursday nights. Cant wait for the premiere?? Here's a little sneak preview/synopsis of the season. It is safe though, as i will not spoil it for any of you.

In season 3, appropriately named "Villains", the whole "Save the world" thing is still very much full steam ahead. But its darker and more complicated then ever before. Not too complicated though. Peter Petrelli, thought of as the main protagonist in the series, as well as the rest if the heroes have their jobs cut out for them this season. We come to know more about LEVEL 5, The Company's super high tech, super high security, super max "prison" as well as the super villains kept inside them. But somehow, the villains escape and thats when the story gets up and running. In this season its like each charater has its own personal story or mission. Peter has his own, Suresh (watch out for him) has his own agendas, Matt Parkman goes far away from the US in a 'spiritual journey' and of course, Hiro alongside Ando are at it again trying to save the world. This season gets you thinking and gets you to come up with your own theories as we go into the future, see light turn to dark and dark to light. Who will prevail?? I know. Three letters.

NBC.

Haha. Which begs the question...how long will the network keep the series going? Will they continue to reap the profits the show is making for much longer and allow the show to lose its buzz and storyline? Or will they decide to end the show soon...with a bang? I think it'll be the former, but personally prefer the latter. Its been a good two years and three season. There might be room for just one more season but anymore than that, expect another "Lost". So hopefully NBC closes the story on Peter and the gang and replace it with a BRAND NEW "HEROES". Til then, continuing to save cheerleaders and the world ain't so bad.
