Been a few days since I previewed summer films. So it continues today with Part 4, in which we'll looks at some August movies that have been generating a lot of hype and are must-see. You can go back and see parts 1, 2 and 3- here, here and here.
G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra
Msia release: August 7
USA release: August 7
I was never a fan of G.I. Joes but I'm interested in this movie.
Looks full of action but heavy on the CG. See for yourself the trailer,
released just a few days ago, is below.I didn't really like it.
Year One
Msia release: August 13
USA release: June 19
The premise if absolutely genius. And if done right, this movie will be hilarious.
Starring Jack Black and Michael Cera of Juno and Superbad fame.

The Boat That Rocked
Msia release: August 20
USA release: August 28
And English comedy-musical starring the likes of Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy and
Kenneth Branagh. Although not a summer blockbuster, it should be a good movie.

Up
Msia release: August 20
USA release: May 29
Disney Pixar's latest animated film. The teasers have looked extremely cute and funny so far.
Could very well be this year's WALL-E.

Coraline
Msia release: August 20
USA release: February 5
Not a summer blockbuster either but one of this years 3-D animated films, along with Up. Coraline has been positively received since its release in the States.
