Only just a few days ago did we get the highly anticipated Avatar teaser. I didn’t like the Avatar teaser all that much. But today, the teaser for Christopher Nolan’s Inception was made available on the Web. And I think it’s an awesome teaser. And it does exactly what a teaser is supposed to do – tease.
Christopher Nolan is of course the director behind Batman Begins and last summer’s epic The Dark Knight. After the huge success of the Batman sequel, there were talks of Christopher Nolan continuing the franchise with a third movie. All that was pushed aside once it was confirmed that he would first be taking on a Science Fiction movie titled Inception.
Details have been few and far between since this announcement and what we know now is this – it stars Leonardo DiCaprio who plays a CEO-type. The movie also boasts big names such as Academy Award-winning Marion Cotillard, Juno’s Ellen Page, Batman Begins’s Cillian Murphy, Michael Caine (Alfred in the Batman franchise) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt who was recently in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, as well as famed Japanese actor, Ken Watanabe. So with a big director, big cast, big budget (rumored to be around $200 million), Inception will most probably be the movie to watch out for in 2010, among others, of course. As for news on Batman 3, looks like we’ll have to wait until after Inception gets released. For the time being, check out the incredibly awesome teaser trailer embedded below.
Inception is about entering peoples’ minds/dreams. A technology to do so has been developed and is done through an injection. DiCaprio and his team work to enter the minds of other characters in order to retrieve/plant information.
Inception hits screens July 16, 2010.
